A passage removed from a publication may lose its addressee, genre, purpose and connections of meaning. Preserving context is part of preparing a verifiable examination.
- Preserve the complete publication, including its heading and captions.
- For video, identify the interval and supply the context before and after it.
- Separate examination questions from requests for a moral judgement of a person.
- Identify the material's source and how it was saved.
